Carl Stamitz was among the first composers to write solo concertos for the clarinet. Through his collaboration and friendship with clarinet virtuoso Joseph Beer, he composed a total of 11 clarinet concerti during his lifetime. One of the most well-known, the Clarinet Concerto No. 3 in B-flat Major has been arranged here for solo clarinet and clarinet ensemble, based on the original manuscript. The concerto is in three movements: Allegro moderato, Romanze, and Rondo.
